The International Collegiate Programming Contest (ICPC), will host its Greater New York Region competition on NJIT’s campus this Sunday. Winners of the regional competition will advance to the national finals to be held next year in Atlanta. About the ICPC. The Association of Administrators of the Interstate Compact on the Placement of Children (AAICPC) was established in 1974 and consists of members from all 50 states, the District of Columbia and the U.S. Virgin Islands.

Contest rules IMPORTANT CHANGES BELOW. Teams will be allowed to use their own personal computers (1 per contestant, 3 per team). Checks MUST be made out to "ICPC Foundation." Please make a note in the memo that the check is for "GNY Registration." Checks MUST be received by Wednesday, October 9, 2019 to avoid any late fees and guarantee a slot at the contest. Any teams registering after the deadline will be assessed a $30 late fee.

After months of training and preparation, the Cornell undergraduate team “Cornell i^2” (in the photo) won the 3rd place and the bronze medal in the fierce 5-hour long competition.

The top teams from the region advance to the North America Championship and then to the World Finals. After last year’s attempt of a distribued regional, the ACM-ICPC Greater New York Regional Contest returned to Manhattan College this year and is planned to be held on Sunday, November 18.
